Spring was very late this year and has caused all sorts of confusion to our wildlife. Hedgehogs have hibernated longer, due to the cold temperatures, orphan season has been delayed or may not happen on such a large scale as it has previously, we will never know. Last year we had 20 cubs this year just 2! Now you may think that is not a bad thing- it isnt, but we just hope they are all safe. Now as we near the end of May deer fawn season starts. We have one in care already, not doing too badly at the moment but we are not sure how long he was without mum and is showing signs of his digestion closing down. WE are treatinghim as best we can , but are still worried. Will keep you updated or you can follow him on Facebook. Below is our Spring News letter and some advice on what to do if you find an injured or orphaned deer. . Forest Row Veterinary Centre are holding a Quiz
